INDUCTION OF SOYBEAN RESISTANCE MECHANISMS TO ANTHRACNOSE BY BIOCONTROL AGENTS

چکیده

ABSTRACT The biological control, thinking about the integrated management, has been inserted with other management techniques to disease such as soybean anthracnose. aims of this work were verify action Trichoderma and Bacillus isolates in induction resistance mechanisms anthracnose a function seed treatment. statistical design was entirely randomised, 5 x 2 (agent species sampling times) factorial scheme five replicates. Soybean seeds treated amyloliquefaciens BV03, B. subtilis BV02, asperellum BV10, Carbendazim + Thiram distilled water (control). Seven days after seedling emergence, μL 1 10−4 Colletotrichum truncatum spores inoculated on cotyledons. Catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POX), phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) glyceollin (GLY) activities before pathogen inoculation, well diameter lesion cotyledons, evaluated. Data submitted analysis variance and, when significant, mean values compared by Fisher’s test (p < 0.05). treatments did not influence first time inoculation. BV10 increased POX PAL up 173%, while BV03 activity. Glyceollin influenced treatments. T. reduces 61%. Thus, potential control anthracnose, improved response defense against C. truncatum, performed

Isolation and evaluation of biocontrol agents in controlling anthracnose disease of mango in Thailand

The agricultural based economy is a core business in Thailand and food export is one of the main sources of income for the Thai population. However, pesticides are overused and misused. As a result there is an urgent need to reduce the use of synthetic chemicals. Biological control offers an alternative to the use of pesticides. Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is widely planted in Thailand and is o...

Induced systemic resistance and plant responses to fungal biocontrol agents.

Biocontrol fungi (BCF) are agents that control plant diseases. These include the well-known Trichoderma spp. and the recently described Sebacinales spp. They have the ability to control numerous foliar, root, and fruit pathogens and even invertebrates such as nematodes. However, this is only a subset of their abilities. We now know that they also have the ability to ameliorate a wide range of a...

Mechanisms of biofilm resistance to antimicrobial agents.

Biofilms are communities of microorganisms attached to a surface. It has become clear that biofilm-grown cells express properties distinct from planktonic cells, one of which is an increased resistance to antimicrobial agents. Recent work has indicated that slow growth and/or induction of an rpoS-mediated stress response could contribute to biocide resistance. The physical and/or chemical struc...

Recent developments in Pseudomonas biocontrol mechanisms

Fluorescent pseudomonads are an effective source of biological control that have high adaptive power and able to produce a wonderful source of secondary metabolites. Antibiotics such as phenazines, diacetylphloroglucinol, and hydrogen cyanide are produced by certain taxonomic groups of the genus Pseudomonas and appear to be ancestral. These compounds often play a physiological role in the produ...
